DIY FRIDAY
Ingredients:
- 3 boxes of white cake mix
- 9 eggs
- Oil
- Water
- Food coloring
- Unsweetened bakers chocolate
- Cream cheese
- Milk
- Salt
- Powdered sugar
Step One: Coloring The Cake
Mix cake accordingly to boxes. I did one box at a time and divided the batter in half adding color to batter as I went. I colored the batter in the same order as a rainbow. This way I could start stacking the layers as I went. The more food coloring you add the darker the cake layers will turn.
Step Two: Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting
- 3 boxes of white cake mix
- 9 eggs
- Oil
- Water
- Food coloring
- Unsweetened bakers chocolate
- Cream cheese
- Milk
- Salt
- Powdered sugar

Step Two: Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
3 tbsp. milk
2 c. sifted powdered sugar
Salt
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
3 tbsp. milk

Salt
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
Soften cheese in milk. Add sugar (1 cup at a time), blending after each addition. Add melted chocolate and salt. Beat until smooth. Frost cake. I doubled the recipe in order to frost the entire cake.

I ♥ Jewelry (storage)
One thing I can never get enough of is jewelry storage. I know, sounds weird, but honestly its always on my mind (especially when I am thrifting or find an amazing sale). I see a unique piece and think "how can I use this". You'd be surprised on what I've come up with (lets just say I'm currently using a piece of a bed to hang necklaces from). Whether you hang your gems, place them on trays, or keep them tucked safely in a box, jewelry storage is essential. Because lets face it, there's nothing worse then reaching for your favorite necklace only to find it tangled with three other pieces (and of course you are already late). Check out these interesting jewelry storage/display ideas...

Shop: What's New at Deuce
Added a couple of new pieces to the shop this morning and wanted to share. Started working on the Summer 2012 Collection (I say "started" lightly, so far it has been three months in the making). I want to say this next set of gems is going to be Deuce's best, most original, crazy unique collection, but somehow I always seem to surprise myself. Hopefully the summer collection will be going in for shooting by the end of April? Lets be honest, beginning of May?

The Outer Limits
Currently it seems fashion is all things space. Which is interesting to me because if someone said "the galaxy" was going to be in this spring, I'd say yea right. But it is true. And you know what, I kinda like it. Because as far as I know its never been done before. Meaning a possible fashion first?

DIY FRIDAY (A Little Bit Late)
Two Minute Statement Collar
Sorry folks... We're a little bit late this week on our DIY. This week's DIY is super easy and involves a collared button up shirt and a pair of scissors. All you have to do is cut the collar off your shirt and you're done! Be sure to leave the top button or you can replace the button with a vintage broach. It's a great statement piece and is best worn with a strapless top or dress. Enjoy!
