Easy Peanut Butter Cookies

If you are anything like me you are busy.  Super busy.  So sometimes (not all the time) you do things a little last minute.  With that in mind, here's the scenario...

You are going to a holiday party and want to bring a yummy dish.  Of course this is the day you check the pantry and realize it is worse than Old Mother Hubbard's cupboard.  Yikes!  What to make?!

And this is where the easiest peanut butter cookie comes in.  Only 3 ingredients! Three! Yes, THREE!

Easy Peanut Butter Cookies

1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg

Optional
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Set oven for 350 and bake for 9-12 minutes.  Let cookies cool on cooling rack.

I made these the other night because hubby was having a super craving for peanut butter cookies, and of course me trying to be domestic was like I'll make them!  Little did I know our cupboards were missing some key cookie ingredients (like baking soda, flour, etc.).  So I whipped this recipe out from my older sister and bam!  Perfect cookies! I promise.  Enjoy!

When I first found out oxblood was the color of Fall 2012 I was little put off. Really, oxblood? Why? My concerns were simple. Its not very versatile, it only looks good on some skin tones, its so boring.  Boy, was I wrong (I currently type those words in my oxblood nails). My favorite thing to pair oxblood with? A little touch of gold.

Of all the stones I work with pyrite and jasper are by far my two favorites (turquoise is a close third).  For the Fall/Winter 2012 Collection (Certain Emotions) I was able to really work with the two stones and use them in ways I haven't before.  Both pyrite and jasper are the perfect amount of raw nature and modern edge (that is why I love working with stones, they are a natural element, but still highly fashionable).  Here are a few of my favorite pieces containing the stones.  So tell me, pyrite vs jasper?  Which is your fix?

The Certain Emotions Collection

Finally it is here!  The Fall/Winter 2012 Collection!  Yes, I know it took much, much longer than hoped for (but hey I had a wedding in September).  So let this be my one time get out of jail free card.  Now onto the collection...

Of all the collections I've designed over the seasons this by far is the one I'm most proud of.  When I look at all the pieces they stir "certain emotions" within me.  Thus how the name was found.  I really tried pushing myself on this collection in order to make myself standout as an artist (I hate getting lost in a crowd).  Every piece I love and was designed to be uniquely beautiful.  I wanted Deuce fans to wear a piece and it to be sorta of a subtle bold that stood out and was a conversation starter.  Lets be honest, every woman loves when you wear something and a stranger asks where did you get that?  For me these pieces raise the where did you get that question.  Here are a few favorites I had to share...

Fall/Winter 2012

 

I've been saying it for the last couple weeks, but today I mean it.  Deuce's Fall 2012 collection is here!  Well, I think the Fall/Winter 2012 collection is a more appropriate title (so we will just pretend that's what I meant to happen).  And when I say "here" I mean it will be available this Thursday to purchase. The collection holds 15 new pieces perfect for fall and winter.  Once holiday time gets a little closer I will put out a small limited edition holiday collection full of sparkle.  Thank you everyone for baring with me on this long wait.  I'm going to blame my September wedding taking up far too much time.

16 Days...

In 16 days I will be getting married.  Crazy just to type that.  I am super excited to say I do, but also a little nervous (my future hubby and I don't like attention).  We didn't go for a huge, fancy wedding.  Instead we focused on good music (you should see the play list) and great food.  The wedding ceremony is at our 1920s home in West Seattle with a small view of the Puget Sound.  All the decor for this portion of the wedding was handmade, and my brother will be the officiant for the ceremony.  As for the reception we went with wedding favors for the guests, and stuck with the linens/place settings provided by the restaurant.  Like I said its nothing fancy, but still us.  Here are a couple of things I found on Etsy to add some personal touches to our big day.  The handmade pieces are from a lovely little shop called Wood & Grain that I just had to share!

I've been gone for a bit.  So busy trying to plan wedding stuff for September (only 16 days left!?).  Hopefully after that I can get back in the swing of things because I have not been on my A game.  Really excited to get married, just not excited about the stress that comes with planning a wedding.  Hope everyone is a having a less stressful summer than me.  I have been slowly working on Deuce's 2012 fall collection.  And when I say slowly, I mean slowly.  Like I said, after the wedding its on.
