Crave: This vs That

So lately I've been craving big thick eyebrows.  I'm not talking thick, I'm talking thick, thick.  I already have pretty thick brows (thanks to good old dad), but I wanted to make them look a little more polished and a little darker.  I researched the topic of thick eyebrows for a while; reading tutorials, watching some YouTube beauty videos, and discovering the ideal eyebrow for my face.  The best video I came across was this one...

Now this girl looks amazing (and makes it look effortless)!  However, when I attempted this routine it wasn't as a success.  I believe my sister's exact words were "you sorta look like a drag queen".  Hmm... that could actually be a compliment?  But lets face it, I probably need some practice.  I'm just not a makeup kinda girl.  I try to be.  I want to be.  I didn't actually start wearing makeup til my junior year... in college.  And I was taught by a friend, not a professional.  I'm actually the girl who after doing her makeup will look in a different mirror and thinks... Geeze Jamie! That's not good!  So I never really learned how.  Basically what I got from this experiment experience is that practice really does make perfect.  And that you can find a much cheaper eyebrow kit then the one featured in this YouTube video at Rite Aid for $10.99.

So instead of getting this for $65.00

You can get that for $10.99

Ok, so this isn't the exact kit I purchased (in fact I think Rite Aid had a better selection), but it does have similar features.  You can't beat a kit for this price.  What can I say, I love a deal!  It is pretty awesome and for sure did the job.  If you have any tips/tricks for thick brows, or just have any good makeup tips then (please) leave a comment. (I need all the help I can get.)

  1. Hi! I would like to open beauty salon. Does anybody have an experience in this business? There are too many options in different salon equipment. Could anybody give me an advise? What store is more reliable to buy Salon chair base and Salon chair hydraulic pump. I'm choosing between Advance-Esthetic.Com and Spa&Equipment websites.
